Canvas is a very popular printing option these days. But did you know there are a few different options to consider when printing images on canvas? The two most popular options are gallery wraps and a regular stretched canvas.

This is an example of a regular stretched canvas. As you can see the canvas gets stretched across what we call “stretcher bars” but you can see the staples that are used to hold the canvas to the bar. Not a bad option, but the only way to display this without seeing the staples is to frame it. Some people do not like to frame canvas.

Gallery Wrap your canvas. As you can see with this option, the canvas gets wrapped all the way around the stretcher bars giving it a complete look. Now with this style you can display it on the wall just how it looks or you can frame it in what we call a “float frame.” Most people decide to hang it as is, but it is nice to have multiple options in case you change your mind or redecorate.
